Het Verenigd Koninkrijk bereidt zich voor op een van de grootste pandemieoefeningen, met de codenaam Pegasus. Het betreft een landelijke test om te kijken hoe het land omgaat met een snel om zich heen grijpende luchtweginfectie.

Pegasus is gebouwd voor de realiteit van een pandemie in de 21e eeuw, waarbij informatie zich sneller verspreidt dan het virus zelf en het vertrouwen van het publiek kan bepalen hoe de pandemie kan worden ingedamd.
