Col. Douglas MacGregor

Douglas MacGregor just laid out the tragic history of US-Iran relations. After 9/11, one million Iranians poured into the streets in Tehran and elsewhere with candlelight vigils to mourn the American dead. There was real hope for an improved relationship. We spit in their faces.

General Soleimani helped us in Iraq, persuading Shiite militias to stop fighting us. He helped us against ISIS. Those Shiite militias liberated Christians, Sunnis, Yazidis, Druze. They fought with us, not against us. All of this was swept away in favor of Israel's agenda.

Douglas Macgregor: Netanyahu has something he's never had before - complete control of the US Armed Forces. Absolute allegiance and obedience of the US President and Congress. He knows he has to use it or lose it.

Macgregor says Netanyahu knows this window is closing. He has to use America's remaining power now - or the "Greater Israel Project" collapses.

Based on current military movements, the U.S. appears to be preparing for a renewed conflict with Iran, this time with greater force and a more direct confrontation. But while Washington has been rebuilding its position, Iran has also replenished its stockpiles and may now possess capabilities the U.S. has not yet encountered on the battlefield.

How could this escalation unfold? Would the fallout spread to the UAE and other U.S.-Israeli allied nations across the region? And how will President Trump handle the consequences if this conflict spirals further?

We break it all down in today’s discussion with @DougAMacgregor
