YREFY Paid Turning Point an Extra $1.25 Million in July — The Fall Tour, Including UVU, Was in That Contract.
Candace Owens put two Yrefy contracts on the table tonight. The first was signed in February 2025. It promised Turning Point USA $2.25 million through February 2026 for galas, AmericaFest, a named theater, influencer posts, and the spring campus tour. The payment lines add up closer to $2.47 million, and the contract says every earlier deal is void. On July 25, 2025, Yrefy signed a one-page addendum for another $1.25 million.
That money was for the fall campus tour only: 12 stops, a branded wall, and five minutes on the main stage. Utah Valley University was one of those stops. Yrefy chief executive Lane Schoenberger spoke before Charlie Kirk that day. Candace said Schoenberger, his daughter, and Turning Point sponsorship lead Dylan Erickson flew in together.
Yrefy refinances distressed student loans. Past and current Turning Point employees told Candace the company is shady, that it does not always pay what it signs, and that Erickson was being paid by both sides. The Daily Mail reported that Yrefy settled state accusations of deceptive marketing for $750,000 without admitting or denying them, and that it was paying Turning Point for speaking slots in front of college students.
Candace said a tipster told her Charlie agreed to the odd Utah schedule because donors had pulled millions in July over his shift on Israel, and Yrefy offered to replace the money. She said she cannot prove Yrefy picked the campus. She can prove the check was written six weeks before he was killed.
A sponsor does not write a $1.25 million addendum in July for a tour that was already under contract unless someone needed the money.
