Before Rome created the 'Christian' religion, it was a sect of Jews who were disgusted with the Jewish betrayal of Christ, which led to his murder. Acts is the first book after his crucifixion. There's no theology of Christ to be found in Acts. You would think that would have been a big deal. Look up 'Arianism' and 'Unitarianism'. The original Christian settlers in America were Unitarian and they literally fled from Europe to save their lives. Some Founding Fathers were also Unitarians, others were Deists. Sorry to bust your (Roman) bubble.
