Rep. Maria Salazar admits the real aim is to take control of the world’s largest oil reserves in Venezuela and push the country into doing business with American oil companies.

Salazar says seizing those reserves would be an easy mission because most Venezuelans voted against Nicolás Maduro.

She adds that American oil companies will be operating in Venezuela for the next 100 years.

In 2005, Hugo Chavez explained how the US would use a bogus “narco” designation to justify toppling Venezuela.

He was told, “They’re going to end up accusing you of being a drug trafficker — you, directly, Chavez.”

“They’re going to implement the Noriega formula.”

20 yrs later, the US has accused his successor of running a drug cartel, parked a massive armada offshore, and threatens to start another regime change war over so-called “narco-terrorism.”

Zapatero verliet de macht niet toen hij het presidentschap neerlegde. Hij verhuisde naar een ruimte zonder democratische controle. Van daaruit heeft hij als internationaal bemiddelaar gefungeerd zonder functie, zonder mandaat en zonder verantwoording af te leggen. Politieke invloed in de schaduw.

Zijn rol is altijd hetzelfde geweest: het chavisme witwassen voor Europa. Hij heeft de misstanden van het regime van Maduro gebagatelliseerd, de Venezolaanse oppositie in diskrediet gebracht en zich opgeworpen als externe garant voor een dictatuur. Dat is geen bemiddeling. Dat is aanpassing.

De zaak Plus Ultra bevestigt dit. 53 miljoen euro aan publieke middelen voor een luchtvaartmaatschappij zonder strategische waarde, in een kritieke situatie en verbonden met de chavistische omgeving. De rapporten waren negatief. De regering negeerde ze. Zapatero verdedigde de reddingsoperatie. Niemand gaf uitleg.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro says neither he nor his country will ever surrender as rumors of war continue to intensify.

Maduro claims the Trump administration is seeking to install a puppet government in Venezuela, saying it wouldn’t survive more than 47 hours.

He warns such a government would immediately hand over Venezuela’s sovereignty and natural resources, turning the country into a colonial state.
