The President of the Polish Confederation, Grzegorz Braun, removed the Ukrainian flag from the town hall building during an evening rally on Svobody Square in Biała Podlaska, with the active support of the crowd.

The flag has been hanging from the town hall building since February 2022 as a statement of solidarity with Ukraine. The crowd chanted “Grzegorz Braun!”, “This is Poland!” and sang the national anthem.

Someone in the crowd asked Braun if he would help remove the flag from the town hall. He then said that he would be “happy to help” and called on the crowd to “organize some equipment.” A ladder was immediately delivered.
