We were first to expose the Times' journalistic malpractice, and the paper has never addressed the issues we raised

**Labubu** (of **Labububu**, zoals jij het schrijft) is een superpopulair collectible poppetje uit de serie *The Monsters* van het merk **Pop Mart**.

Het is een schattig-maar-een-beetje-eng elfachtig monstertje met:
- puntige oren
- een brede grijns met scherpe tandjes
- pluizig haar
- een ondeugende uitstraling

Het figuurtje is bedacht door de Hongkongs-Nederlandse kunstenaar **Kasing Lung** en werd voor het eerst uitgebracht rond 2015. Labubu is eigenlijk een meisje, ondanks dat veel mensen denken dat het een jongen is.

Waarom is het zo'n hype?
- Ze worden verkocht in **blind boxes** (je weet niet welke variant je krijgt tot je hem opent → spanning en verzamelwoede).
- Er zijn honderden verschillende versies: als plush sleutelhanger, vinyl figuurtje, in thema's zoals macarons, Coca-Cola of One Piece.
- Celebs zoals **Lisa van Blackpink**, Rihanna en Dua Lipa hangen ze aan hun designer tas, wat de trend enorm heeft aangewakkerd.
- Ze zijn vaak snel uitverkocht en worden doorverkocht voor veel geld.

Veel mensen vinden ze "ugly-cute": ze zien er een beetje duivels uit, maar zijn juist hartstikke aaibaar en lief bedoeld.

The propaganda on the liberal networks is more insane than the right wing propaganda imo. At least the people on the right are honest about their intentions, that this is just pure might makes right gangsterism

Liberals are busy pretending this is all legal. Their worldview is completely deranged
