Het precies zoals ze het benoemt. Vliegtuigen hebben kerosine nodig om op te stijgen - en eventueel een paar rondjes boven een vliegveld te draaien als ze in de wachtrij zitten. This map is well-sourced, and includes the full timeline, location and facility name impacted. We don't know, of course, the actual originating cause of each incident, but the overall pattern is alarming, and there's no question that a huge portion of the world's energy infrastructure is being taken offline one way or another. Deze "ongelukken" in Amerika, Rusland en Australië zijn nu voor ons ver weg. Het zou zomaar ook bij de Rotterdamse raffinaderijen kunnen gebeuren. Shell Pernis en BP Europoort zijn de twee grootste van Europa, dus een mooi doelwit voor het creëren van tekorten. Het zou daarnaast ook een ramp zijn in zo'n dichtbevolkt gebied.
